Storm work brewing....?

My advice is stay out of it if you can....it's a gamble, tons of competition, traveling and living in hotels sucks and of course then the long hours....All while gambling your companie's financial well being....

If your in baton rouge, and have a stump grinder, how are you not making money? Storm work is a hard life, but can be rewarding, and you never take a chipper, that is a rookie mistake. Everything is put it to the curb for the first few months, and that is when you work like hell. After they quit doing the pick up, just grind stumps. STUMPS FOR YEARS!!!!!

bring what you have and check in with local police to let them know who you are and why you are there. Thats first so they know what you have and what you should be leaving with.
I got me alot a work in mass for the ice storm 2 years ago. then see if there any other companies that are checked in with the town or city halls.

Gasport NY just between Niagara Falls and Rochester. Ready 24/7 Have PPE and plus for others i Travel with my van and 4x8 trailer. I can work a full day all week its where work is where I would like to be at to help thanks

OK I'll throw my hat in the ring too. February in Indiana sounds kinda warm. I'd rather sub for one of you locals than slog it out with the rest of the storm chasers. Insured, CDL, buncha saws, ropes, blah, blah, blah.

Honestly I hope the tree damage isn't too bad, but if ya get swamped, let the PMs roll.
