This is a long shot but figured it was worth a try. Had my gear bag stolen from my truck. Contents include a monkey beaver belt, gecko spurs, purple wrench, reon rounds tether, zig zag, and a lot of other miscellaneous gear. Just in case anyone spots it on eBay or craigslist please let me know. Thanks

Been there done that. Not a happy time. hope you get it back or at least get insurance $$ to replace it. Most of the clowns that pull this stuff have no idea what it is for.

Where are you located so we know where to keep an eye on?

That’s brutal sorry to hear that! Hope you find the SOB

Thanks fellas. It was parked at the job site overnight. We took everything out of the trucks but forgot the gear bag in the back of the bucket truck. Really nice neighborhood too. I’m located in Michigan. Northern lower peninsula. Ebay would be my guess if I were to get lucky but I’m guessing someone took one look at it and threw it in their garage not knowing what to do with it. Possibly another tree service also. The competition is rough around here.

Friend of mine had 2 husqvarna 395s stolen out of his truck in a parking lot last month. I always pack all my gear into my garage at night. Sucks and takes some extra time but Thieves are lowlifes and i don’t want to shoot somebody over stealing my chainsaw.
Hope you get some sort of reimbursement or even find all your gear

Might check in with the property owners insurance.. I bet it’s covered

Gear found! One last ditch effort that I had no hope for. Started pushing chips around with the tractor at 3 different dump sites just in case someone wasn’t thinking and tossed it in the back of the chip truck one night. Sure enough there it was. Still can’t believe it. Lesson learned I hope for a couple of 19 year olds in training. My faith is at least temporarily restored in humanity. Rico your gesture will not be forgotten.

On really stolen stuff I would check the usual places; Craigslist, pawn shops, flea markets, etc.. I haven't had many thefts but enough to be very upset when it happened; some gold coins at a coin show; a $300 weed eater in my driveway once, a hemlock tree that fell off the backside of a pickup that was "liberated" by the time I realized and turned around; a theft by deception case that I hired a lawyer on, got a judgment and couldn't collect on; I did a skip trace on the perpetrator earlier in the year and had some more letters sent. All many crooks understand is an arrest warrant or a "collector" who knows how to get the proverbial pound of flesh.

What was the mechanism for loss?

Do you not secure your gear a normal way, everyday?

If you store stuff in the truck bed, is it not SOP to look before chipping?
