Stirling Atlas...They say Factory only..anyone try?

Has anyone had success splicing Atlas? I am currently trying with 1/2 and 5/8” dia. Not really succeeding either. Problem is getting the core thru the crossover, just won’t go in either diameter. I think both the cover and core are ‘unslippery’ to use the technical term. Would welcome any advice before giving up and using the ropes unspliced.

Samson splicing instructions, is there anything they can't do? Was delighted to find they had prettty product-specific tutorials for making my Safebloc whoopie w/ TEC, for making Ice Tail eye&eye hitch cords, heck I just used their vid on class 1 DB eye-splices as reminder for a 3/4 polydyne rope/sling I just made to make-use of unused cordage (previously held my Safebloc) and unused hardware (got that Elevation Canda ring for $47 on ebay like 6wks ago lol, would've gotten their 2-for-$75 offer (they're 10% thicker than XL rings!) if I could find instructions on double-head slings but figure my collection/kit is probably done at this point, just a good # of Mercury lengths to process into loop slings for my always-spliced/never knotted bull-rope system (Mercury is 8.5k static but is 3.5% dynamic just like Polydyne, using it in doubled-over configuration (ie as loops) seems fine to me for soooo much!! Have some 5/8 TEC and a lil extra 3/4 p.dyne, both of which will be spliced to endless loops for all their varying uses from sling lengthening to afoermentioned 'slinging the logs' so my bull ropes can go rings/etc and have a spliced-end that's clipping-into a balanced load (doing single-line or 3-leg-'spider balancing' setups would be almost equally as easy if you've just got varying sized loops on-hand and all are terminating at good hardware connected to a spliced termination!
