This saw runs great. Has tons of compression and power. Starts right up idles and oils well. Also has the extra manual oiler. There is a couple of extra parts that go with it. Email me with any questions or your number and I will get back to you as I am rarely home.

Is this a non-AV/ hard mount, vibration/ white-finger machine?

Some others that I've seen are Magnums, like 044 Magnum. Are those AV or not?

I'm trying to figure out the naming system to avoid phone tag/ email tag to find out that they don't know, then having to go look at them to find out that they are hard-mounted.

thanks.

We had a Stihl 075AV w/36" and 25" bars. The Midwest Chapter used to have chain saw cutting contests as an added attraction to the TCC. I won 4 of 5 years using that saw with the 25" bar. Definitely a powerhouse.

We had one back in the early 90's Sean, I liked it. I was also a big fan of the old 056 magnums. I don't remember vibration being that bad.

Seems to some of those around, too. My neighbors used them for logging 'round here.

I'm by no means set on an 075, just figured that it is too much for most people, so the demand is smaller so maybe cheaper.

Just would like a big saw for low stumping, big felling cuts (I don't mind double cutting with 20" or 28", actually, but a single cut for greater accuracy for those tight shots), and the occasional big bucking.

Stihl 051, 075, 076, TS 510 cut off saw, and TS 760 cut off saws interchange parts. All of these saws are AV. Some early 051s were point saws and all the others mentioned are all electronic ignition saws. The 075, 076, and TS 760 saws used cylinder studs that run the length of the cylinder and have 58mm bores. The 051 and TS 510 saws use cylinder studs that attach at the cylinders base; 52mm bores. All of these saws share the same crank (stroke). I have rebuilt two 075s and am currently converting a TS 760 into a 076 Super. None of these saws had Magnum badges on them and only the 076 had a Super model (Walbro carb and high rise intake). All early 051 and all 075 saws had the older morse- fairbanks start system. The newer 051s and all 076s use the newer pawl start system. The fuel tanks for these two start systems are different. All TS 510 and TS 760 saws use the newer pawl type system. PM for IPLs and service manual for the 051, 075, and 076.

I am needing the IPL for the TS 760 saw if anyone has one. I have the TS 760 service manual.

I hope you find this information helpful. I will post some pictures of my setup in this evening.
