Stihl 048 AV Super....

I just purchased this beautiful piece of history... it runs phenominally (sp?), but after a closer inspection as expected the gas vent line needs to be replaced. The tubing is as old as I am. I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get tubing to replace this. I know that stihl does not produce the parts anymore. also while looking at the tubing there are two screw plugs in it one at the top and one about an inch down the tube that was right above the plug for the tank. Does anyone know if this is necessary?? I used this saw once while helping someone and fell in love with it. it is in really really good condition and ran like a champ so i was lucky enough to have him sell it to me... I am going to completely cleaning and overhauling the whole saw.. well fix what needs to be fixed ( why fix it if it aint broken) I am also trying to find a breakdown for the saw to so that i can be able to take proper care of it.. any clue on antivibration bushings; where to get some or what to replace with (I have been told that the 042 parts are pretty much interchangeable) they have a little dry rot not to bad though??

ALso any suggestions on cleaning the air filter?? I know they are hard to find and this one is in really good condition just needs to be cleaned.

Funny you mention that 048, I picked one up the other day/ allmost like new, had never seen one before that. Someone said early 80's/ replacement for 042 ? I'd also like to know a little bout mine also, Take care
