Sterling TriTech

im stumped bro, core looks too thin for the heavy duty kernmantle, and then what to do with the dyneema braid????

Pretty sure this cordage is not splicable. Talked with a rep at TCIA Expo in 2011. The sheath is very tight. Industrial stitched eye is possible though.

trouble is, thats like a sign "do not climb"-all i want to do is climb it. im going to persevere but i know what ya saying tony.

I had some triple braid rope a while back where the 2nd core (the stuff between the cover and the ACTUAL core) was just a filler to stiffen up the rope. The splice we came up with involved just cutting out a section of that filler core and that gave us some room to put the splice together. We could get it to break consistently around 90% with some quick, sloppy non stitched splices.

Maybe something like that would work here?

i know what you mean nick, Globe 5000 is like that. TriTech is different-ill wait til you get your hands on some to see what you think...
I think the NERopes STa/SEt splice may work

Are you talking about sta-set x, the one with the gauze around the core? That splice relies on a very loose cover that gives room to stuff the ponytail into. I don't know if we will have that luxury with tritech
