Oh snap, sorry, They did have them on once I started cutting.I also call stand clear when I untie the block since I worry about butterfingers. I think it was just in the beginning that he didnt have one on.

Re: Stem Wobble

Cool video. Cool editing.

I felt like I'd had 34 shots of espresso after I watched it because of all the fast motion stuff.

Question: How did you make the top of that palm bounce off the ground in such a way as to make it land back on top of the stem that you'd cut it from? Skilled hand running the ropes? Was there a trampoline where it landed?

I'll have to try that technique...

Re: Stem Wobble

I can see the comments on YouTube. Are you using a Loopie or a Whoopie? I use a whoopie snugged up really well. It is possible to adjust quickly and cinch them up without much slack at all.

Re: Stem Wobble

Opposable, Palm wood is super bouncy, just have to hit it at the right angle to make it do that, but twice?!?! I got lucky for sure.

Hey Jamin, I am using asjustable woopies, I geuss I just need to get it tighter.

Thanks Rocks!

Hey Viking Im a righty, I have tried so hard to get the saw and lanyard on opposite sides of what I do but its no use, I am programmed that way. Sucks too cuz I have to switch over to put the saw away. Old dog I geuss.

Re: Stem Wobble

A pool within the drop zone and you didn't do a splash down?!?! Hahahahha

Is that a shop made stump grinder? If so...how about some pics?

Fun to see the ride!

Re: Stem Wobble

No Tom thats a Carlton 2500. Its an older one. Im not sure what year. New motor, new bearings, but its never been as powerful as I expected. I hope that better teeth will help some day. IM still regrinding the HUGE box of VERY used teeth that came with the machine. Not much carbide left and they break constantly. Those green wheels are toxic as heck so Its not my favorite task. Always rocks here too.

Re: Stem Wobble

I couldn't see the wobble but I heard the grunt. Caused by having the brake on a different stem, as you knew no doubt. Should be on the same tree then the force is sent straight down.
I'll take a good stem wobble over a crew wobble any day.
