Spurs for Tall/Long Legged Climbers

Any tall/long legged climbers want to chime in on their spur setup or preference?
I’m looking at trying out the Stein X2 set as they “are designed with the taller climber in mind”.

Experience and input appreciated.

Buckingham makes a long sleeve for their spurs.

I’m fairly tall and I set my Geckos short enough that I would expect they’ll work for anyone normal. If you stand 6’ 11”, they might not, but I can’t be certain of there. 6’ 4” I expect you’re fine.

I’m only 6’3” but have a 38” inseam.
With the thickness of climbing boot soles, my Kleins maxed out hit about mid-upper shin.

Fair enough. With my 32” inseam, in my Evo2 boots, i still have a couple inches of adjustment in my carbon fiber Geckos, so those would probably work for you. The pads you choose could make a big difference too, Caddy pads sit higher on the shank than Climb Right pads, for example.

After20+ years on the stock sleeves on my bashlins, I got the extended sleeves and buck pads. Absolute comfort. No pain or digging at all. Stand in those puppies all day without issue.

I've only owned one set of spurs, I know they are not the lightest but I find them to have zero discomfort with good boots.

6'1" , 32" inseam and wear Haix Protector boots. My steel Kleins are maxed out for length but work great with the big buck pads.

Buckingham steel spurs with foot platforms and pole gaffs on gaffilac pads. The only improvement would be possibly swapping the steel shank for titanium. I'm 6'4" 34 inseam and I may be running regular sleeves maxed out. Love them.
