Hi.

I don't know if we've yet set our clocks to "summer time" in the US. Thankfully, we don't mess with the clocks here in Indiana, though it seems some die-hards in the legislature waste our time and money trying to get that changed just about every year.

Could you do me a favor and replace your 258573 byte avatar with the down-sized version (18965 bytes) I've attached here? It would make my modem very much happier.

Thanks,
Glen

I don't have any pictures, but the azaleas and citrus trees are going crazy w/ blooms right now. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm sure this Spring stuff will reach the latitudes further north.
But, for your longing, here's what's going on around my playground-- er, um, work.

Over a third of the picts were taken in the last week. 25,000 tulips and other bulbs, hundreds of azaleas, dogwoods in bloom, elms are busy covering up their mistletoe, and the live oaks are flowering.

Caution: over 100 thumbnails, so wait for the load.

While we were there we called in it look at the oak tree used in the masters challenge of ETCC 2003. Awesome tree! Mark B may prefer not to open this attachment!!

After a few more silly pics, the batttery went on my camera so unfortunatly there are no pictures of the true arrival of spring on display at the arboretum!

ouch... I did open it. It still smarts a bit... thanks Rupe! Anyway, luckily there was Maastricht inbetween. Doesn't pay to take these things too seriously, though, does it? Luverly place, Westonbirt. If anybody over states-ways comes over, make a point of visiting Westonbirt Arboretum, it's... a bit magical, I suppose. In that respect alone ETCC 03 wasn't pointless to me. That and Beach-Rolley racing, of course.
For this years ETCC in Copenhagen I thought we might combine Beach-Rolleys with Power Kites, any takers? /forum/images/graemlins/jamminz.gif

Maastricht more than made up for westonbirt! Glad you took it in good humour. None of us wanted to climb that tree yesturday, so we stayed with the work climb beech instead.

I don't think I can bring my beach rolly on easy jet? And I sold my power kite years ago! But yes good idea, how much open space is there at the site?

Spring my a**, we got 15cm of snow yesterday. REALLY heavy stuff, I had to shovel my driveway with a long handled spade, so I could actually pitch the stuff with my out of shape self. Sucks

Two years ago I visited Westonbrit. We got there in late afternoon and did a short walk. Then we came back the next morning for more walking. What a wonderful place. Full of great climbing trees!

How much do the Beach Rollies cost? I can't find them in the US.
