splicing my own footlock cord and need advice

im using 7/16 double braid and was wondering how big i should make the eyes and what length is a good one for me. im 6 foot tall. thanks

I've spliced a few and I always measure pretty rough, the length from my waist to several inches past my arms outstretched. Also, the big eye that will form your six coil prussik should be at least 12" in length, IME.

whats a good over all starting length before the eyes are spliced? because you will loose length when the eyes are spliced. how far should the bury be?
