Does anyone have experience to report good or bad with Southern Dump Trailers?

Looking at a used one this week.

Any thoughts would be nice!

I think this is the roll-off dump trailer design I want. By Southland trailer in Canada. You could have multi bins, a flatdeck, a covered box, many options one trailer. It's built tough but so is the price. $14,500 including one bin. I don't know anything about Southern trailer, just thought I'd show this companies' design.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to give you a heads up about a trailer selling stalker salesman! He got my email address off of here and offered to sell me a dump trailer! Shadier than a tree!

wow,,,,

kinda harsh for a guy just trying to make a sale?? dont you think?

what if you knocked on someones door that had a dead tree and he called you a stalker and posted your image all over the place just for trying to meet your needs?

I might of screwed that up. I didn't know there were lots of roll off trailer makers. I thought it was a new design I wanted to give exposure. Now I know.

I'm sorry, but if I knocked on someone's door to give them a price on their tree that would be the evidence that we were in the same state. This guy knows he is in Florida and I am in Minnesota.

That there is why I labeled him the stalker salesman!

Thanks for the replies. I am going to look at a couple more next week! Is my understanding right that scissors lift is stronger and will last longer than hydraulic rams?

They'll both have hydraulic rams.

I think most dump trailer builders have the bugs worked out of the dumping part. One thing to consider is the dump angle, make sure it lifts high enough to dump sticky stuff like black dirt.

As far as paint goes don't buy into the fact that powder coat is the best...it's a joke with our Minnesota salt. Spend some time looking the wiring over, shrink tube an solder is best.

PJ seems to make a good dump trailer for the money.
