Socialism? Communism?

Barney Frank is suggesting the new TARP fund rules be extended to all major US corporations!

you want the taxpayer to have more funds, and be able to pay their bills, thus ending the mortgage co. predicament? you voted for the wrong man. he has more pork and LESS tax cuts in his new bill. should be the other way around, IMO. get rid of some of the taxes on corporations so they can pay their guys more, get rid of capital gains tax, reduce the tax on EVERYONE.....FLAT TAX no more floating scale.

a trickle UP effect is NOT socialism/communism/marxism. that is waterfall down. rob the rich and give to poor!

its time for change. no more lies Mr. Obama!

You'd be an interesting study when the day comes you're out of work, homeless, hungry, and desperate.

Or when you might get a 1-A Dept. of Defense invitation, basic training or more frightening, needed to be dependable to cover the backs of the men on your left or right.

Rush didn't make the cut, he had anal boils. Funny how the loudest provocateurs suffer so affectively from the smallest maladies. But then again, in a Bush-world, a sissy with a coke habit can become president.

ok Oak you're a god! and sorry that I asked you to explain where you stand. you're exempt.

anyone who has met me will tell you I have no problem protecting those whom I love, care for, or associate with.

why do you always bring up the same unintelligent Bush/Rush/war veteran argument?

I chose a career path at an early age that didn't allow service into the military. I had plans my jujnior year to become a marine, that summer I was offered the job of my dreams(at the time).

I grew up dirt poor, and looking back I see plenty that could have changed that. like a will to do some hard work, and willpower!

Wish I had the luxury of choosing a career instead of being drafted. I could've chosen a deferment I guess, if I was honest about my knees, that both my only brother and I were drafted, that a political campaign needed me more, or my ultimate career opportunity was knocking.

I don't usually ask for a person to justify themselves by their past patriotic experience, people are all pretty much good. But when someone like you, who claims to know-it-all and thinks they understand the delicate nature of foreign policy, blindly promotes the gunboat diplomacy of the Republican years and incessantly complains about taxation, in any form, I have to understand that your extremist views are rooted in ignorance and should always expect the resulting diatribes that foam from your emotions - the same ones that self-serve one's self over friends, community, and country.

But you "almost" became a Marine. How greatful we all are.

Don't tell me, tell "him!"

I'm a respondent, not the antagonist.

Blatant flows of claims need to be substantiated. Has he yet? Until then, it's all aesthetic and lacks substance.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he didn't make the Corps.

That's the beauty of Oaks, they can live for hundreds of years.

And I do think that he has many valid points to make.

Just not ones that you agree with.

this is so funny,

you sound exactly like the little brother that never does anything wrong, and yet has an excuse for everything.

grow up if you want some respect.

"grow up if you want some respect."

I was going to say that same thing.

So, what about this economy, huh? It's looking pretty dire out there for the half-million per month laid-off people. It's becoming so serious, this situation, that maybe we should look into the root cause, no?

Then perhaps a quick look at what it's going to take to at least slow this out-of-control flame out, huh?

The first rescue package, the 750 billion under Bush's order and Paulson's direction, well, that didn't do so good. It was the same giveaway that allowed AIG and Bear Stearns to up the bonuses to their execs, Fanny and Freddy to reward it's directors, and it was handed out to buy subvalued bonds, the banks did a number on our money without accounting for a single dime and not having to.

I realize the second TARP is getting under the hides of the Right...it includes job packages, unemployment extensions, mortgage relief for homeowners, health care initiatives and energy programs. Automatically all catagories the Right has issues with. The Republican Senate members are up in arms, the Republican governors are all hands-out, desperate for the funds. What gives? Maybe the reality of the situations at home?

Maybe we should discuss de-regulation, the mantra of the Republican party, or aerial wolf hunts, the religion they do from a Piper Cub. Teenage abstinence sure didn't work out too well, maybe now they wished a few lessons about rubbers that would've been taught by the schools because as parents, they can't bring themselves to mention the word "sex" or fund a program that does, unless it's in the men's room, to the guy in the next stall, while looking to pick that square of paper off their left shoe but hey, "they aren't gay", only straight people should marry (then file for divorce after being caught snorting speed with the deacon's massuese).

Am I an adult yet?

There you go man, that wasn't hard now, was it?

Now if we could get Ted Haggart to jump ship, it would....(never mind, he belongs associated with those he associates with). Even Liberals have limits.

I belive this picture says it all in a nut shell.

Unfortunately, a predictable response. Perhaps more time contemplating a funny retort and less time trying to let me know my "Boo-Ya" had no effect on you.

You must try harder.

I no longer consider the likes of the CEO's who bankrupted our former reverred home-grown institutions, invested heavily in worthless notes, took trillions in stock worth and cashed them in before the fall, sent domestic labor and jobs overseas, deposited all their booty in offshore tax-free accounts, made deals with the Bush admin to keep illegal activities under the rug - as Amwerica's "..it's citizens". They are traitors, effected more damage against this nation than Bin Laden could even dream about, and are dandies, favorites, and underwriters of the GOP.

Salary caps? Are you kidding? They should be tried for treason and hung.

Only a hopeless person with self-doubt and a worthless inferiority complex, no inspiration or creativity could possibly see the new legions of billionaires as potential to beg for the trickle-down that falls off their dinner plates as they gorge themselves with glutenous greed. The supporters of the elite nation-killing captialists are more pathetic and lazy than the insignificant teenage black welfare mother on crack, as she never attacked America while telling lies, killed troops in illegal wars, or tortured innocents to gain desperate confessions or more importantly, spit on and re-wrote the founding document that was to guarantee the future and prosperity and freedom of America.

You're a cheerleader for the forces that committed war against the sensibilities and stability of the United States. Why?

Well....you are the MASTER! and a funny retort was not my objective, but hey dude, run with it makes you feel special!

You didn't read, or maybe you did but failed to comprehend my answer to your question.

It's OUR money handed to these companies so it will be OUR determination to within each one, decide who gets paid how much and what for.

Fail a business, fail it's dependents, and receive tax monies to survive? Yes, the government (which will again be "of the people") will determine how much, who, and when it will be spent on, just like my bank wanted my loan application to spell-out in detail (and provide deed-collateral) what it was I intended to do with their money and how much and fast I would pay it back.

What is it you don't understand about what went wrong, by who, and what it's demanding to fix it?

You're back to "black teenage preggo's have ruined America".

Again, and the same question you always fail to answer:

Why are you so against America by being so supportive of the forces that just destroyed us? Are your own business practices similar to your philosophic ideals? Are your books open and ready for a voluntary audit? I will if you will. It's just a phone call away.
