snap cuts on horizontal limbs, canopy

Re: i never hear nobody talkin \'bout it

Thanks Regs...Your work is flawless. Ill do my best, take my time, order a big enough crane...wont be my 1st by no means but it has been a long time.
I know Ill be making snap cuts....I always like to back off a little before the lift.
Anybody ever do overlapping cuts with a TINY little wedge on the face ? I do it for "manhandling" wood all the time.

Reg and Allmark, thinking more about snapcuts with cranework, would it make sense to lower the pieces a litle once the cut is finished as a means of breaking it off, instead of lifting it? Maybe that would be even less stress on the crane??
