slack tender strap

Was asked my thoughts on how to hook up a strap or upper body rig for tending the slack while ascending. Wasnt the first time I was asked so thought there may be more new comers to climbing or just SRT that may have the same question. Short vid of my answer and why think the way I do about it. I can NOT understand why anyone would clip to their helmet chin strap.

Here's a neck strap idea. on mine I have the elastic cord going through a piece of 1" tubular webbing. The cords go through a tiny plate that was the adjusting buckle on a camera neck strap. then, a spring loaded toggle on each end. Just a variation on the setup in this pic.
