Also/But...
I cannot move the attachment control lever whatsoever. I thought it might need an attachment to function, but unfortunately it still does not move. it may the lever control lock... How do I disengage the lever control lock? or?

Congratulations! There should not be a need to unlock the aux. lever. Only thing I can think of is the pedal down on the platform, that is there to hold the aux. lever in place, make sure you’re not stepping on it. Also, make sure it’s not just frozen/rusted stuck from disuse.

Did the previous owner use the aux? If not it's probably just frozen. The control on my Vermeer was tight and hard to finesse when I first bought it 3 years ago. It was 12 years old with 900 hrs, after a few hrs of use it got better, now encroaching 2000 hrs and is still working great ever since breaking that control in.
