sizing for SIP 6.1

Just got the SIP 6.1 (well actually they don't belong to me, but the place I'm working at).

Ordered a size medium, I'm a 32" x 32" size. I noticed they are kind of baggy and the knee pads (black covered area on leg) sit below the knee not over it. Wasn't sure if this was how the pants were designed or if they are indeed too big. Anyone else notice that?

Also, I was pretty worried about them being too hot as they are really thick (especially being 6.1's) and this being Hawaii and all. Worked all afternoon in them last week during kona winds (hotter weather on the islands) and didn't even think about the pants, which is great. So far so good!

I've got the 5.1 pants, but am not familiar with the 6.1. Mine are a little baggie. I'm usually a 31x34 pant, but I think my SIPS are 32 long (34). The knee pads hang just below my knees when standing, but the are perfectly positioned when kneeling on the ground.

I won't wear them if the temp is over 70-80. They get a little warm.

I thought I was ordering the 5.1's on the sherrill site but they sent the 6.1's. I think the only difference is the thickness, layers of protection??

mine fit the same way. I've had them on when the temp was in the upper 80's. Needless to say they get a little warm anything over 75.

I have a pair of 5.1s and I have a big tear right above the knee pad. Its just not quite high enough. These pants seem to tear easy. Thats my only complaint about them.

Im debating buying the 5.1´s but also wondering the correct size to buy also. A couple of years back tried on a pair of SIP´s in large just a standard model of cahinsaw pant, could of gone for a swimm in them really baggy.
