Correct buddy, i am sliding two identical friction hitches up both sides of a doubled but stationary rope. Basically, the rope is set up like an MRS / DdRT / Blake's hitch climb would be, but i climb both strands at the same time with no movement.... and here's a funny story... last night, like midnight, i am climbing the oak tree in the backyard testing something, actually soaked my ropes in water to make sure Michoacan held, and it did... i see my wife through the window, looking for me, gets her phone, texts me to find me, and i scared the crap out of her when i just banged on the window to respond. Ha!
Once again, I am not an arborist and my audience are not arborists either. They are primarily saddle Hunters. Today I made this video and uploaded it as my very first YouTube video. I appreciate the help I got here. And I welcome any feedback. I intentionally did not give details, but I am climbing on the Michoacan on both strands. I like to think this method has a fair amount of old school but a new twist. It's all Basics. Rope and cord and beaners.
