Simple tree felling video

Are there really jobs like that available? What are the qualifications? How wood an experienced residential arborist compare to an entry level faller?

Many handfallers around here are nearing the end of their careers and not enough young guys are starting. Regulations make it somewhat difficult to get started unless you have an in somehow or pay for schooling. But it typically pays around 500-550$ per 6.5 hour day subcontractor rate.

Most residential arborists would be hopelessly lost in a production falling setting, it's not even close to the same game.

Its on the bucket list, get out to the coast and do some handfalling. Unfortunately, I don't have the fallers ticket...and its not really teneble for me at this time to pay for the schooling to get it. But, I'll keep plugging away in the hopes that one day I'll get a crack at it.

Might have a few woodlots to help a ticketed guy round these parts with over the winter, which would be great.

I would like to see the way it is done, for sure.
