Silky Tsurugi

Hardened steel teeth against aluminum is not something I worry about with mine.

I just took a look and between the raised rounded blade tip and the nylon (?) guide rollers, I don't think the teeth can even contact the aluminum.
 
I'm not a huge fan of that scabbard, to small of a target to hit. I just use a sugoi scabbard and might go to a weaver leather one with magnets to "lock" the blade in. Anyone else notice a lot of bark tear with that saw? (The lg teeth) I'm currently trying out the med tooth version to remedy it but not sure if I'll give up the zubat for it.

I've gotten used to the scabbard so no problems there (except that I can't pull the saw one-handed) but yes, on smaller limbs I've noticed it's almost too aggressive.

I've tried almost every silky and I love zubat best allaround..have a weaver sheath I us on removals . what's up with the magnet one I'm not familiar I don't think?

Don't think they are out yet, but they are going to put a magnet in the leather somewhere so when the the handsaw is in it can't accidentally fall out.

Was like praying with rattlesnakes. Not my bag.

I used a sugoi for a several years but it seemed more than I needed.

Tom D., are they sending you a royalty check for that magnet idea? I've had Silky's on my calf work out and almost fall several times. Was glad when I saw Tom's post about taping a magnet on the scabbard. Strong magnets the size of a fifty cent piece were only a couple of dollars each.

this is my personal favorite silky it's the Sugowaza I paid $75 on Amazon and ABSOLUTELY love it!!
