They didn’t. Sherrill the sole North American distributor came up with their own pole saw line but couldn’t compete with the blades. They came up with the bullshit excuse that our western asses are too stupid to use metal polesaws due to electrocution..

I found one on eBay for a bit cheaper. It's a bummer though that the are discontinuing. At least you could make one out of parts if you really wanted/needed. I'm not sure how I feel about the notch pole saws that all the other state side companies are selling...

Haha it does say on my longboy "for sale in Japan only, all warranty and liability is null and void if sold outside Japan."
