I agree...a lot of assumptions. However, it is a lot of assumptions to suggest it is bad for arborists too. I tend to be optimistic.Seems like a lot of assumptions.
I don't see the latest Sherrill news as a good thing for arborist.
What about climbstuff.com?
I just noticed if you google Akimbo and scroll down Sherrill says they have them “IN STOCK!” Click on the link and it’s just the pre order.. dirt smarmy bastardsThis means that your Akimbo pre-orders are on hold indefinitely.![]()

Only time will tell.
Hopefully somebody in the know will chime in!
Fortunately, if Sherrill does go downhill, there are several other options. But competition in the market place is generally a good thing for the consumers, so hopefully they stick around for a while.
Also, I love an awesome deal...so i may not take my own advice...I like your optimistic approach! I believe PRE's goal is to generate risk-adjusted returns for their investors by growing revenue (increasing margins/increasing productivity) via strengthening Sherrill's existing (and potential) relationships & instituting lean manufacturing/continuous improvement practices for all of their current and future manufacturing facilities. All of this so PRE is able to flip the company (Sherrill Inc if it is still going to be called that) for a profit to another similar firm in 5-8 years (that firm will do the same, etc. etc.).
That said, if one does not want to support PRE, they should spend their arb money elsewhere and not give in to those awesome deals! There is power in numbers - spend wisely.

You said the same when Treestuff sold to Sherrill.. Honestly, I’ve seen little than watered down piss beer since.. dude on Facebook just said his Black Friday order came in, WTF?! I ordered through Wesspur, there was a snap which stated “out of stock” by 10am the next morning I had a call, letting me know when it’s coming in, and that the just got off the phone with their supplier.I think the deal with Platte River Equity is gonna be great for consumers and employees together. We’ve got a lot of big plans & improvements coming.
If your curious I encourage you to give any of our employees a call, and ask them directly how it affected them. Our folks are pretty straightforward. Our office numbers are on the websites.
As always you can reach me at nick@treestuff.com or by cell at 440.989.0444

They might as well call them the men's department and the women's department. They don't have a single female director.Go to the "our team" page on the PRE website.
