Sequoia Saddle

I just bought a Petzl Sequoia Saddle. It is very light and comfortable. However it does not have any hooks for chainsaws. I do have the caritools but to me, they sit too far back which makes it hard to retreive the saw. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I hook my chainsaw on the loop on the right hip. My lanyard I put on my left. I put my handsaw on the left loop on my hip. Just the way I do it. Those loops are very strong. I have had a sequoia since about a month after they came out, and love it! Best of luck!

With the clip on a saw lanyard. I put one extra biener, tha is cheap on the bottom of the clip to attach the ring on the lanyard to. That way the is never any chance of dropping you saw when unclipping it for use.

on the left side on the small plastic hook-up I have the hand saw attached with a mini biner, on the right side I have a mini clevis thread locked on the small molded plastic hook that I attach the saw lanyard onto with an accessory gator biner on the first loop. I love the sequioa with the one problem of using leg straps for the first time. It takes a little bit of adjustment for me.

Look for a couple of black plastic doo-hickeys near the bottom edge of the saddle looks like you could thread some cord through them. I put a couple of small stainless shackles trough them to create loops to which I attach my saw lanyard.

I also mounted a carritool as far forward as possible and that worked too. (got it snagged and broke the carritool so I'm back to the shackles)
