Sebastian Junger's climbing accident

Re: Sebastian Junger\'s climbing accident

Poetic license, the average layperson understands that sort of time frame though, the suggested addition of "felt like" would have been better.

Oh well, still it gets the point across that sometimes there's a moments pause when you're up there on a peg that just feels sketchy.

Re: Sebastian Junger\'s climbing accident

Yeah, you guys are probably right, I'm just being too picky.

Re: Sebastian Junger\'s climbing accident

Would be nice to have Sebastian write more about tree workers in his books, then the general public would really hear more about us.

I know he has more important world issues to deal and cover these days, though I do think that our work can be As Bloody As Any War.

Re: Sebastian Junger\'s climbing accident

Well, that's would be nice but it's not "top of mind" right now. He's got editors and publishers that want stories and books that tie into what is hot in the press today.

Re: Sebastian Junger\'s climbing accident

Did any of you guys read his book about the Boston Strangler? I would like to pick that and War up. I actually met him at a bar in the city, very cool guy. Wound up doing shots of Jack with us and sharing stories.

Re: Sebastian Junger\'s climbing accident

I just finished war last week, top 5 books ive ever read. Very dramatic, but makes you feel like youre there next to the .50 cal gunner whos running around in a helmet and boxer shorts smoking butts.

read the book and you will understand that scenario

Re: Sebastian Junger\'s climbing accident

Met Sebastian last night at the book signing. What a nice guy. We got a chance to talk about his climbing days and how much he loves tree work. He says it's the best job in the world.

He then had an open forum with everyone who wanted to ask him any questions about his new book War. It was a great time. There were some young Army Vets. in the crowd too and everyone clapped when we found out that they were there.
