How many people use their email list to send seasonal tips and reminders?

I was thinking about doing this by starting a list on a computer file that I can add to every time I get a new email, and when I get time (ya, right.) go back through all the paperwork/ email to find past customers emails. Hopefully with the right initial formatting, I can just cut and paste into the email program.


I was thinking about pruning, planting tips, watering as necessary, reminders about weed-and-feed, mulch, etc.

What else do you add/ would you add for this time of year (its spring in OLY!!)/ summer.

i email all my clients from the previous season with updates on what needs to get done and when and ask them to get on the schedule. so far it really works. had a ton of work at the beginning of the season.

Exactly right. Send out the email prior to the begging of a new season. Every season for us arborists has different things that must get done at particular times. So keep your clients updated with what they should do, and give them enough time to react and get the work set up. Its an excellent way to build great relations with your clients. It shows you care.

general email marketing is on my list of things to develop.

Regular contact with updates on job/customer specific stuff is a regular thing though.
