Scuba gear.

Had to argue about who was going to climb this one today.

Was kind of an interesting job, though nothing spectacular. There was a pretty big hornet nest in the tree right at the water line though. In this picture we are probally about a quarter of the way through. Was probally a 35 inch Willow.

Yea, we cut and winched everything. Snapped a winch rope, but then swapped it out for a cable and had no problems. Actually was fairly easy on the winch since the wood floated across the lake once freed.
So we got NAILED by another storm just as we finished that job, so this is the picture from the next day. Used a 5:1 and a GRCS to steady the tree and just started cutting. Went REALLY smooth, but took us little over 10 hours with 4 guys and a boom.

And then the day after that...
This one we got to bring in a 35 ton crane. Again went pretty smooth, one close call, but all safties where in place and did their job (thank god). The funny thing about this tree is our company had just finished pruning this tree about an hour before the storm hit. Guess we should have taken a little more off.
I heard tomarrow we are using the crane again, I will continue taking pics if they are worth it. (mind the quality, I am just using my phone)
