Saw problems?

Okay, I got this new 170 Stihl saw and the saw keeps quitting because of,...I believe all the black carbon build up on the spark plug. I can wipe it on my pants, put it back in the saw and start cutting again for about 30mins...then same thing. I don't know a whole lot about saws, but I do know some

What the problem isn't

1. Too rich oil gas, mixture...i've got that correct. 50:1
2. Too cold of spark plug (spark plug came with the saw)
3.???

Any thoughts would be great?

Pull the spark arrestor and reset carb to factory settings.
