saw lanyard

I lost a 020t back in the 90's with a dog-leash style clip - since then I've always uses some sort of locking system for the main connect. I've had my saw "switch" from my harness to a climbing line before too - that was a bit weird...
Thinking about the workers below :)

What I use right now is a dog leash clip with a posi-lock beaner through the ring. Beaner on the saw and dog leash clipped to my belt to keep it close. I find the dog leash too small to manipulate comfortably with my sausage fingers. That's why I liked the ladder clip way better. I still may be leaning toward the cari-tool.

Here's a question. I've heard of one snapping in this thread. How durable are they?

Ive been using the lanyards exclusively for around 5 years no and have never, not once had a buckle work loose. Id be willing to bet you didnt have them fully engaged.

I had the same problem as Cory- while I never lost a saw, I would frequently find one of the buckles disengaged.

Also, the female ends would get broken in the saw box (another reason to switch the ends or connections)

The idea is great: One lanyard for all saws. With the modification of a retired triple-locking 'biner (that we all have lying around), the system is improved (and snow won't pack into the 'biner)
