Samson ultra tech

hey guys got a question about splicing Samson ultra tech: I'm making an eye2eye, and I'm wondering if it is considered appropriate to use locked Brummels and a bury for the eyes as opposed to the class 2 double braid Samson recommends on their website? Seems so to me but I'd like some feedback before I proceed.
Thanks!
Ben

Yes, that is an appropriate approach. Slide core out of cover, splice 12 strand i2i (core), slide the cover back on and lock stitch. Have fun!

Wesspur has them on their site spliced like your description. Why not just go with the manufacturers recommended double braid class 2 splice?

The difference between this method and Class II is that the cover would go over the eye and then stitched with the rest of the splice at the throar. It would add unnecessary complexity with no benefit, the core is load bearing and the cover is mostly for abrasion resistance. So in an i2i, that abrasion resistance is not needed. It's similar to beeline except for materials selection.

Pretty much sums up why I was wondering about this. Thanks fellas!
