Greetings everyone,
I just got off the phone with Chris Schultz and we had a discussion about my situation and where everything stood. After the conversation, I decided it was time to get back on this forum.
Without going into major detail, I have had a pretty significant medical condition that has kept me away from tree care, and this forum. My focus was on my family, and trying to maintain my business.
I will be the first to tell everyone that yes, it was my fault not making proper communications. I take full responsibility and folks that have paid for and not received their equipment I will be issued a refund.
For the folks that have tried to understand my situation and gave me the benefit of the doubt, thank you so much for understanding. For the folks that decided to assume what was going on and formulated their own opinions of me…..,
Ever since I was on this form, I tried to be a standup guy and get people awesome equipment at an awesome price. I just wanted to pass the savings along and if I didn’t like a piece of equipment in a couple weeks, I just sold it to arborists that could use it. Nothing more, nothing less. I don’t have a drug habit, I’m not dead, I didn’t leave the country, I just had a pretty major medical condition that I am going through, and it has shaking up things to say the least.
I tried to do my absolute best to promote this industry and the folks within it. Again, I am thankful for the folks that didn’t jump the conclusions.
I would make contact with the folks that will receive refunds in the next couple weeks. Again, my deepest apologies for having so much silence, but I needed to take care of my family and my business first.
I must extend my apologies. I was one of the quick to jump to conclusions. I am sorry for that. I was wrong. Will leave it at that.Thank you for understanding and again I cannot express how unprofessional I was by not responding. I didn’t air all of my medical issues on an online form because I didn’t grow up that way, and nor will I ever. That is something that me and my family unfortunately have to deal with, but at the same time I should’ve let everyone know. Again, no excuse. No drugs, no booze, None of that. I went in for a major medical condition and during the process of evaluating me, they found something else and now I have to take care of that.
I will only use this card once and that is it……. I would like to think that the folks that truly know me and understand how much I care for this industry and what I have put forth will understand my radio silence. I didn’t write manuals, pen, articles, and travel across the country to train arborists only to turn my back on the guys that I once trained and read my literature.
I would make contact with the folks that I had radio silence with, and we will make appropriate arrangements.
I will say this, and this will be the last of my rant. Please try not to judge someone if you haven’t either been in their shoes or sat down and had an adult beverage with them. I did take some time to read all the previous posts and, I definitely deserve most of the criticism, but WOW. Folks that I have never heard of before, chiming in about how terrible of a person I am….
A good friend who attended one of your workshops did speak highly of you. And that was this week. Glad that this has turned the corner. I wish you well and all the best. Typing this on the plane heading to Asheville NC for some treeing and mountainbiking. All good. Stuff happens. If I would’ve made appropriate contacts, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
Life is full of lessons. Even at 57, I make mistakes and learn from them. Life is humbling. Thanks Donny. Keep good.Thank you so much. Hopefully we will meet in person at a conference or workshop. Stay safe and enjoy.
