Very cool! Looks like it would go well with the two fixed ends of the double bungee design.Just saying, 1/2" blocks the user can custom build to length. Accessory cord to hold blocks together and keeper slots for the spring cord. Screw it, forget the center hole lets just make them snap and unsnap together so it packs better.

Lightweight plastic?
Instead of a knee ascender, call it Leggo-Up.That was my thought, would be a cheap and easy mold.
Leg-go-Up...fastInstead of a knee ascender, call it Leggo-Up.

Ohhh, unclip and fold in half....held together with SAKA magnets.Just saying, 1/2" blocks the user can custom build to length. I tried something similar. Made essentially a stiff tether out of that Marlow heat shrink stuff. It worked pretty well but I found that everytime I bent down it would poke me in the balls so it had to go.This is starting to remind me of a knee ascender that my old buddy Bill Price designed out of a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe. There was no bungie at all. Just a piece of strong cord that was attached to the bottom of the ascender and ran down thru the pipe to the stirrup It flexed at the stirrup attachment and kind of wobbled around, but it did more or less push the knee ascender up each time he raised his foot.
Fondled your balls? I'll take two.I tried something similar. Made essentially a stiff tether out of that Marlow heat shrink stuff. It worked pretty well but I found that everytime I bent down it would poke me in the balls so it had to go.
View attachment 39441 I found this in some notes taken from an issue of Nylon Highway, seems like this is a common solution
Its written on the back of a receipt, might be able to read the date if someone wants to examine it closely.Nice find!
What is the date of the illustration?
