Be sure to cross them under the tongue of the chipper

Too much extra filing. My least favorite chore is filing. I do almost anything I can to minimize the amount of time I spend filing. I'll wear out the one that comes with the saw. Then, not another one goes on.

When I buy a new saw. I tell the dealer to swap that damn safety chain out for full chisel. Get it off there!

Reduced kickback would probably be the proper term instead of safety chain but you guys get the drift I guesse

i put one on my wifes saw she automaticly noticed the difference she quickly and willingly learned to hand sharpen her old chain

Crap, there just crap don't like them at all. I tend to file the rakers more than usual if I'm forced to use one on the job till I get my paws on a new one.
