Saddles

I have been climbing for almost a year now, and am looking to buy my own saddle. I climb on a Buckingham versatile (classic). Its a good saddle but it pinches at my hips and groin a lot. I have tryed it both with rollers and mulitiple attachment points. I want to know what other people think of other saddles! I am a rather tall guy at 6'4" maybe that is some of the problem with the pinching. I would specificly like to know what people think of the Butterly, Glide, New-tribe ultralight, and some of the new ones out. Treeflex, treemotion. But i understand these haven't really been tested much by the everyday climber so i'm not really looking to get those yet!!! All info would be appreciated, thanks

p.s. i will be at the convention in baltimore and plan on trying saddles on there

The other think i want to know about the Ultralight is in the sherrill catalog it shows it with extra loops to hold carabiners on the legs, but on the website i can't seem to find this on any of their saddles??? Thought i would ask

I'm not sure about the loops on the legstraps. I've got them on mine, which I purchased a couple years ago. I would pass on the ultralight and take a look at the work saddles they have on their website. I don't think those webbing side D rings look very easy to use. Also, if you deal with New Tribe directly you can customize the saddle, adding things like quick attachments for the leg straps, gear loops and carabiner pass throughs wherever you want them, etc.

I've never heard of the Jelco. Got a link or a picture?

I will second New Tribe. I just purchased my first saddle, a New Tribe Progear. Extremely comfortable!! I thought about a Butterfly 2 but I think I am a bit big for it. I am very happy with the Progear.
