Rope Retreever

Anyone have on of the stainless steel telescopic rope "Retreever" from Sherrill Tree? I only use this when it is absolutely necessary and the other day the tip broke. Does anyone know of where I can get a replacement part? I called Sherrill and they don't sell a replacement part.

Hey Jamin,
I bought one of those rope retrievers a while back and had the same problem with the hook breaking off. I replaced the hook with the wire of a coat hanger. I formed it into a hook by doubling it up multiple times so it would be strong enough to retrieve rope when pulling with it. Then I duct taped it to the top of the telescopic part of the retriever. Like you said I don’t find myself using this tool that often, but when I need it, it is a great tool to have.

dude mine broke in half retrieving a 3/4" bull line. i have been eyeballing that sidekick that wesspur sells anybody used it? it looks a whole lot sturdier.

Why don't you guys us a few pole saw extensions and a hook?

truthfully i don't want to have to carry the polesaw. ahh well, it is what it is
