Rope recommendations

Initially came looking for some more information about rope but got pretty overwhelmed by the amount of info here.

If you would be so kind and maybe list what you're using, at least that way I could see whats most popular?

Thanks

Try the search icon and the climber's section. Rope has been discussed at length for sure.

Rope for tree climbing? Lots of choices out there. Yale, Samson and Sterling are the major brands, double braids and kernmantles are the main construction types used to climb.

Arborist ropes are pretty specialized... without knowing what you're going to use it for, and what equipment you'll use it with, it's impossible to make a recommendation. That's why the subject is so heavily discussed on the site, on so many forums/threads.

Ok, more specifically; can someone recommend me a 5/8” rigging line that is 12 strand and NOT Arborplex? Would consider 3/4” too, same construction.

Thinking about this one. I’ve always been very satisfied with Yale Cordage products.

They used to make a 5/8 16 strand, too.
