Splicing smaller lines: I did eye splices in my throw lines. I made the eyes big enough to easily get the throwbag through the eye so I could girth hitch the bag. Love it. They're hollow braid, so easy to do brummel splices. The bags are then easy on/easy off, with no knot to catch on things.
