The subject of rope bags came up in the rope guide thread, thought I'd make it a new topic.
After getting a look at the bag that Tom uses, I had to try and find one for myself. I think this is it:

I've tried tarps, it seems like I can never get it secured. I'll be carting it around and somehow the rope shifts, the handles slide to the side, and rope comes leaking out. What a hassle. The bags are secure, but slow to stuff.
This bag has the best of both. Loads like a tarp, but then with a flip and roll, it dumps the whole mess into a bag. When your ready to work, open the draw string, dump it out on the ground, and open up the tarp. Pretty as can be. I love it. The only way it could get better would be to make it a little more durable. I've not had any trouble, but it is so light weight, I keep expecting to snag and tear it.
