I just purchased the 2.6 with the loopie 2 days ago, and I'm foaming at the mouth for the package to arrive. This will give me the entire collection of R E Omni Blocks. I just didn't know how to justify a pulley that big, but the price was the defining decision and that it has a 40KN Will. That's intense!

Ok, because it says max diameter is 13mm. I know it's not a stretch but it didn't want to buy one and then be forced to buy a whole new line.

I just read the specs about the 2.6 and it has a 40 kn Will and a 13 mm sheave, so a 9/16" rope can actually be used under load without rubbing the side plates, since there's a 1.5 mm space on each side of the actual pulley itself. But, 40 kn's thats just unimaginable., 8992.357 pounds-force. That's the weight of a pickup truck! The question is now, what rope can handle that much force in a 13 mm range?

This item does look beauty and I'm sure it is as I have some of the other omni's. Just wanted to mention I'm sure that it's working load is 20kN and that's from the swivel. That makes it 10 kN for load and 10kN for anchor (portawrap). Still this is impressive making it's working load around 2200 lbs.

That's what I said in a previous post Jeff. I saw the same pic and I also called R E to verify. They said 9/16" will work with no problems at all! That's what finally made me decide to purchase it before the sale ended. Best of Luck!

Hey Jeff, I really try my best to research pricey devices before I make the Big Plunge to purchase, but I do occasionally miss the boat on an item here and there, the Bulldog Bone being one of them. I purchased the Bone from a fellow TreeHouser, then find out that I have 600 feet of Sterling HTP that won't work with it. So now I'm between a rock and a hard spot, I need to purchase a new SRT rope, and that S£|+ ain't cheap! The 2.6 Omni, I did the most research that I could, but it's still a nice looking piece of hardware!
