Every year or so I dust off the Enforcer and check online to see if there is a functional Bluetooth App yet. If I can’t set the device off the ground and retrieve a series of load event data, it is basically useless. Sure you can use it for ground level force demos for beginners,,,very exciting and vital. Any thoughts? I really don’t understand why anyone would buy the Enforcer, or how RE keeps it on the market w/o viable support software.

i pretty much use mine either on ground level or on the end of my rigging line to see how much pieces weight. but i understand where youre coming from. does the linescale 3 come with an app?

Does the apple app not work at all? I see it hasn't been updated nor has favorable reviews... but is it nonfunctional?

Brocky, I did a reasonably thorough attempt at getting the tech specs, found the 600 kg but couldn't find sample rate for data logging. ?

I just tried to source a load cell from a local shop. $500 to $1000 for a naked cell with wire pigtail, no signal conditioning even. Another $1k+. And then frequency limited. And badly suited load range. it came back to me that I'd had a similar experience with the same shop years ago. Resulting in no sale! And an unflattering annotation in my notes. And that still leaves me doing hardwired data acquisition on a separate platform.

Another important spec is safe overload without damage.

A low tech substitute, lower accuracy, is hydraulic cylinder line pressure gauge and a bit of Pi R squared or calibrate it and it's linear so you don't have to calibrate at full load.
