Ring to ring triple action cambium saver

Just curious if a ring to ring saver could be manufactured simulating an industry related life support biner in rings????

You have me a bit confused… Can you elaborate a bit further, so I can understand what you are looking for?

Petzl makes a semi circular carabiner that fits into our scope of work. What about a friction saver with a larger carabiner style ring and a smaller ring of the same construction??!

What is a carabiner-style ring? A circular ring with a gate like a carabiner? If so, that would not be safe to use, as a circle with a gate would permit easy gate-loading, which is the most failure prone type of load there is.

And what would be the benefit of such a device?

My thinking is a typical ring to ring saver that meets the triple action locking requirements our industry requires for life support. Basically developing a life support ring / carabiner style friction saver. That is all

I've done it for lighter duty rigging - when I set a line at a spot I preferred not climbing back to (but could if it didn't work). Used 2 pear carabiners. One with the skinny side up and the other skinny side down. Pull the knot through the fat-side down biner and it catches on the skinny side of the other.

I did that because I didn't have an extra ring-and-ring. I now have another that we use for rigging.

What would be the advantage of buying this over a ring and ring?

Why do you envision the carabiner being round? I use a 3’ long, 16 strand eye to eye with a DMM Ultra-O carabiner in one eye and a thimble prusik along the body. Works a treat.
