retrieving cambium savers

I got me one of those tefeulberger/treemagineers cambium savers, it has 3 rings... now when i got it online i thought the small ring was the adjustable one on the prussik, but it was the one on an end of the main rope. I was like thats stupid, then I was told hang off the 2 big rings that are over the node, and the 3rd small ring hangs 'lazy'. I still have to remember which end to go first but its super easy, as its small first..... and ever since then it never gets stuck, comes away so easily. I think because the small one dosent bear any load when climbing so it dosent dig into the bark. so the 3rd ring is a great idea!

installing the third ring from the ground is simple, just stack it on top of the ring on the throw bag side when setting the cambium saver when it flips over the branch it will be in the center ready to pull your line through.

If the friction saver had 2 large rings and you stacked the smaller ring above the larger ring wouldn't the throw bag possibly pull through the larger ring when pulling it up?

If you use a highball, no. If you use a carabiner to connect throwline to weight, it shouldn't either. I'm really likin' this!
