ODSK filmed these 2 retrievable re-directs a few weeks ago. 1 knot and 1 anchor.

We pull tested the 1st example, with block and tackle and load cell, on 10mm rope it took 3 times my weight in force to begin to move the slipped bight.

Thanks.

I carry two mulitslings on my saddle use them both for all sorts of good stuff.I love that tool . I also have a forty foot piece of n.e. ropes 3 mm double braid that I use yoyoman mags on ,but it doubles for my retrieval line on redis of the variation shown. That's good rope strong and thin so it stores awesome in little ditty bag that stays on my saddle. Do you know the one with a ring and mini biner trapped on rope girthed then bight through biner stopper. I really been diggin that one . I like the knot one you've shown as well ,but looking for one that can work without a crotch or that will cinch on vertical wood. Have you seen the bombproof batman by chance little more involved but will hold with no crotch.

The first one works on branchless stem wood, the angle of the leg to the main anchor keeps it true. I know the ring and biner re-direct, for me that is not so fluid. The knot is #399 in ABOK.

With the second one you could have just had your friend that was filming retrieve it for you. :D

But seriously cool configurations! I especially like the first one. Thanks for sharing.

So far the best retrievable re-direct I have found when climbing SRT is the tail of that same line set-up DdRT. Only takes twice the length of rope as opposed to 3 times, is totally life support, easy to recover and little extra hardware.
Another quality of a multisling on saddle slip tail of climb line through ring on sling and form a slack tending, positioning Blake's hitch..I say positioning like don't burn it up the Sirius cord is low heat . Haven't used that one in a while with trying other retrieval red is going crazy SRT rec climbing , but while working it makes more sense doing ddrt tail off SRT main line to me.. I like it like that a lot.

Attaching midline rather than working off the tail is a big difference, not that I'm opposed to multiple systems working in tandem when the need arises though.
