Removing EAB trees

I'm in wisconsin so we've been dealing with EAB kill for a long time. I was at a company that did a huge amount of them, then moved to contract climbing a lot of the worst of them, and now owning my company there's some we do and some we don't. Always a thorough inspection. Always spurring up instead of ascending the rope to check structural integrity and find if there are soft spots. Rigging is always smaller than normal from a larger rigging point. A lot more time distributing force throughout the tree.

Each tree is different each situation is different but there's still been a lot that I've turned down climbing. Never be afraid to say no and always try to tip these trees

Removing dead ash is 90% of my work these days. I still climb them when I can but you really have to be careful and know the danger signs. It's sad to see them all going, they tend to grow in groves and we have neighborhoods littered with hundred of them.
