Redwood Season is Perpetual

Just went hiking in the redwoods with my brother. Our first hike through the redwoods together. We hiked Jedediah Smith, and I went solo in several other parks. Man it was nice this weekend.

Beranek, or anyone else, if you went there lately, or whatever, add some more. Here's from Richardson Grove.

Bet G. Beranek has passed the Legend of Bigfoot gift shop area a hundred times over. This structure is up the bank from the gift shop part.

Beautiful pics but... that gift shop is just plain tacky.

There were a few out of the ordinary items on display for sale there.

Actually, I thought the driftwood water feature was rather interesting, but the bathroom shower heads for fountain spray, seemed out of place. The place is sort of a mixture of some really nice stuff, and some off the wall stuff.

You're going there to the redwoods in 4 weeks?

It should be transitional in a nice way. There will still be hoards of green moss. And the leaves just started to sprout on shrubs. The Salmonberry have a rather nice blossom.

Just found another albino redwood ... 3rd time exploring for it in Rockefeller Forest.

My computer crashed. so I haven't been able to post for a while. Using my wife's machine right now.

The days are getting longer and weather a little milder here. Spring flowers are coming on. Terri an I are going to RNP for a week end to hike a few trails I haven't been on in a while. Bound to see some new wrecks along the way.

Nice pics, Mario.

Hey ... I don't have a clue what the name of this wildflower is. But it seems to be one of the first to be blooming. Saw this one near the Women's Federation Grove. The first Trilliums were opening in a few spots, and the beginning of salmonberry flowers.

Next time down, I'm going to get a wildflower book at one of the park visitor centers, like in Crescent City.

Nice pics as always Mario.

I got a chance to see the Redwoods in Northern CA a couple of years ago. A lifelong dream for me. Hope to go back soon. Anyone that does what we do for a living needs to see these trees at least once in their life.
