Hi John, Yes that was a good article. The big fold out of the Henry tree is of Andy Taylor, Jerry Beranek and myself. We had climbed the tree already and where comming out for this pose.Jerry at top , Andy Taylor at left and me at right.I have a tree boat but never thought of using it.

John , yes they did get a plug. I wish the photo was just a little closer, because I use a New Tribe saddle. Would have given them a little advertising. Oh well, I guess the whole tree wouldn't be in there if it was any closer.

Trevor: I'm not sure if there is a link to that article or not. I saw something in the TCI site about it, but you'll have to look for yourself on that one.
Sorry,
Greg

The last two "big" vacations I took were to Yosemite and Sequoia Nat'l Parks. In Yosemite, I climbed into a Giant Sequoia but didn't get to the top because my late start left me 2/3 of the way up at dusk. In Sequoia NP, I climbed with a buddy and got an early start. I made it to the top of a tree we estimated at 265'.

If I make it to the Seattle conference this year, I will be up for a climb in a Coastal Redwood if anyone else is, and assuming someone knows where to find a good one.

I guess I have to buy the magazine. I hope its still available. THANKS for the link. I think I've seen that picture before where the dude's full spread eagle with red lines between two monster Redwoods. Killer picture. Thanks again. Out

Google is a prety good search site. I tried it for this pic, but no joy.

For info search i use a meta-engine called dogpile that searches like 10 sites for you.

then there is a stand alone on called Copernic that you can refine thesearches and validate all the links, it will prune the dead links from the search list for you. It freewear.
