ready to buy the vermeer ctx-100 this year. which grapple, vermeer or BMG?

I know crazy eh round peg square hole, the sched 80 round was the only thing that fits into a 3x3 1/4" square tube. because of the inner weld seam, short of mfg a custom part (costs)

@tnttree

My round tube is egged out, and the square tube is a little egged out from towing my chipper and trailers a bunch.

What is the best way to repair that round tube?

Seems like a piece of pipe that fits the 5/8" hitch pin (maybe there is 11/16" inner diameter pipe or 3/4", welded into the round tube would repair it. Seems like a boss welded onto the grapple would help.

Didn't I see a square tube-square tube hitch? Receiver picture?

I have a dedicated-tow plate, but haven't used it yet. My chipper is only 4400 pounds. BMG grapple has done the towing work for years. When I need the max stability, I"ll use the dedicated-tow plate.

thanks for that - first report back to me about long term use I will have to look at strengthening both parts I guess - just trying to minimize costs, got a picture?
