Just read this entire thread, and I'm glad I did!
I'm ~185 lbs naked, so over 200 with gear (especially a larger saw)
Blue Moon, 11.7. Several years old (fuzzy) but still in good working shape
I switched between A/1 and B/2 in a couple norway maple prunes today
I had trouble with wanting to let out only a couple inches while on some limb-walks with poor rope angle. I would press down on the upper beak to descend, but nothing would happen. With added pressure I would start to move, but then the device let out WAY too much at once. Is this a lower-bollard friction issue? I think I'll start over from high friction and work out the kinks, on a day where I don't need to get as much work done as today (yeah right, like that'll happen)
I noticed the same thing that someone pointed out earlier about the role of rope tail length, as well as the Akimbo going slack when the rope was unweighted.
I was going to wash my rope this weekend anyway, so hopefully that will help.
