Another question for the group is. How long (time) will the branches be raised and will it have a dramatic effect on the formation of Spring wood or fall wood? (if done during those seasons).

Brian, from the sound of it, I'm guessing the work crew might be in there a couple few days. Not enough to be concerned about by any means.

Even though I have placed pulleys and blocks from the groun before, I know there are always better ways and I am always willing to learn new tech.

At this time budget cost are not a concern.

We have some time before the next project, so not in a rush.

I do not know much about this GRCS and if it is worth purchasing. I know this project can be done with blocks and a com-a-long. However, we have other projects that a GRCS could be very useful and could apply here.

As fare as the trucks for timber thin, we have no other opitions.

Hi,

I do not have that much money. Just budget for gear and additional training.

I am just wondering about this GRCS.

[/ QUOTE ]I've used them after storms and they do amazing lifting work with little effort. A guy NE of Atlanta owns one, and may be willing to rent/operate it for your project.

I would like to see it in action. Just to observe it. I wonder if he is doing a job and plans on using it, if I could come a take a look?
