RADS question

i use something similar to what Jon uses. I had the same problem when i started climbing SRT. dont be discouraged, it will all the sudden happen for you as you continue to mess around with it.
my biggest thing i had to get used to when climbing with the wrench was (i believe Oceans referred to it like this) not to be "yarding" my self up on the rope.
if you rec climb with someone who climbs SRT, it will just made sense when you see it playing out.

stick with it! best thing i ever did was not give up trying to learn SRT. some people are fine without it, but it has done wonders for me

If it's out of reach you could always shorten the bridge on your saddle to bring it all down some
Thanks joezilla, and that would be a viable option if my saddle was equipped with a rope bridge. I climb in a Petzl Avao Sit Fast harness. I also have the optional top chest harness, but I only use that when I'm working from a ladder ... transfers the weight of my chainsaw to my shoulders versus tugging down on the harness.

Everyone else, I truly appreciate the info you've shared. I do enjoy SRT and the pointers I've received here will help me sort out my climbing with the Rope Wrench. Like it's been said, it takes some time to dial it in to where one is comfortable. Thanks again! <Ken>

I have the petzl voltage to tend my rw. For long ascents and to keep me upright anything over 35ft. Ish. I used my lanyard over my shoulder for awhile to tend but then it got semi annoying in some instances when I needed to put my laynard on when I reached my working point or to advance my line. Now I use my chainsaw lanyard over my shoulder and tie my saw on my rope for a weight get to where I'm going then lanyard in. Chainsaw lanyard off saw up and get to work.
