Rads Mod

As you can see with weight on the line, it actually helps lock in the tail of the rope...much better.

Keep in mind this is a new concept that I have just recently put to use. Exposure to its pros and cons have not been enough to say whether the idea has more merits than not.

I figured a lot of you would be able to tweek the idea to its maximum potential, so I love hearing your comments and suggestions; and is exactly why I posted the modification here.

Dave

This is exactly why I came here to the buzz. So many smart people can take your idea and run with it. It is amazing to see what others come up with.

I remember how I felt the first time I used a biner in the trees! Up until then it was all non locking steel snaps! OK...I'm dating myself again!

David @DSMc using gear that does more than one thing sure makes work easier!

Wow, those two items sure look nice together. It's lightweight and compact, but since I'm already using my RollNLock for an adjustable rope bridge and rather than buy a new one, I'll just use a Croll in place RollNlock as the rope-grab.

... Any videos with it in use?

No sorry, I have not figured out how to do videos yet. The CT Rollnlock and Petzel Rollclip are a good pair together though. An attribute of the Rollnlock is once it is on a line you can be really rough and flick it around without fearing it will fall off. That is a nice thing with a haul back.
