Question about tree density and wind stability...

Wish I could help fluffy, but alas I'm just a rec climber and amateur home owner pruner. Congrats on the new house with trees & high ceilings and the new bubs! Well done you two, now three.

I do want you to go limbwalk this tree across the pond. Assuming it's safe, and since its already yours, it just seems like fun. Maybe when your neighbour is less touchy.

Just to take the other side for the sake of argument, could the competing trees on the line have "defeated" the downed tree in a hope to fill the hole with greater strength by creating more space for them to grow. I like to think of trees as smart not just plants going through the motions. Imagine the adjacent trees attacking the downed tree's roots before it fell in a hope to kill it for their own benefit.
I like it! Carnivorous Conifers! I think we are ignorant not to consider the possibility that trees/plants might have some form of intelligence and way to communicate. After all, they have populated the planet quite nicely with minimal help from us!

Thanks!!!

I have pondered limbwalking it long before our neighbor contacted us but I decided it would not be safe. But I am tempted every day so maybe it is a good thing that they will be removing it, haha.
